The code to enable this is in the same file that stores the player information. It is also possible to change fog distance with the + and - keys. In this mode, the player is able to change the fog thickness with the Page Up and Page Down keys. There exists a secret unused "debug" mode for the game. The only thing it does is brighten the screen by a little when pressing the F key. Removing some of the messy code allows the player to use the flashlight. Imscared - Workshop Edition was firstly published on Steam Workshop and itch.io. The code itself is unfinished, as when trying to load it in-game, an error message will appear. There are three files named: "gml_Object_obj_flashlight_Create_0", "gml_Object_obj_flashlight_Draw_0", and "gml_Object_obj_flashlight_KeyPress_70". The glitched HER does nothing, except just stand ominously in place.Ĭode exists for an unused "flashlight" mechanism. The room name is "room70", but there also exists "rm_art", which is the exact same map. This map only contains the glitched HER and the player in a medium sized room full of pillars. This is the map that is used in the unlisted video "A lot of Nothing" in the Bury Her Youtube channel. This one is the HER scene that appears, once the player tries entering through the glass doors into the House. Since the Workshop Edition came before the Steam Release, it makes sense as to why this is left here.Īnother map exists that is leftover from the Workshop Edition. Once you enter the building through the far end glass door, you will be teleported to a scene with HER slowly approaching the player sideways. This is a small replica of one of the balconies in the House. There is a leftover map from the Workshop Edition of IMSCARED hidden in the 2016 version's files. Unlike the other unused maps, this one cannot be accessed by the player in any way, without modifying the game. This map was most likely just made for testing in the very early stages of IMSCARED, possibly even before the Steam release. There are also no walls present, meaning the player can just run into the black void. The texture for the floor appears to be the same as in Begin. It appears to be a small room with a few objects inside of it. For a list of unused, but accessible maps, see Unused Maps.įirst, there is a map called "rm_test" in the game files. Note: This page only covers maps that are completely inaccessible to the player. Oddly enough, the sprite still remains in the game's files. Since all items got their own sprites, this goes unused in the Steam release. This tiny sprite was used for all items in the original 2012 release. The purpose of this texture is unknown, as it goes unused. This is a texture of some tiles fading from white to black in a gradient background. This one however goes unused, since the "IMSCARED / THE END" text is missing here. Imscared - Workshop Edition è un'area giocabile che esce direttamente dalla versione futura di Imscared per Steam.First, there is a texture in the game's files of the blocked off door seen in the ending of the game. For more information, see Unused MapsFlower and Menu. Until you defeat HER, this room also serves as the main menu. It is the first place where you encounter HER, another form of White Face. The game uses raw 3D graphics to enhance the player's imagination and general atmosphere. The Parlor is a location in the game IMSCARED, first debuting in the games Workshop Edition. Find keys, open doors and search for the exit of this short nightmare. Imscared protagonizes the player, putting him in a surreal first-person experience. Imscared - A Pixelated Nightmare is a metahorror game I made in 2012: The game had a lot of success, becoming a standard for the pixelated horror experiences.
